New Contest: The Toluna Mystery Quiz

Dear members,

We know you love games and contests, so hopefully you’ll enjoy this new one – The Toluna Mystery Quiz.

Each round will last one week (from Monday to Sunday).

Here are the rules.

◘ There’s a mystery to solve in each round

◘ To find the answer, we will give you clues

◘  We will post one clue per day and you’ll have 24 hours solve the mystery

◘ The first member to find the answer to the mystery wins

◘ If a member finds the answer from the first clue he/she will win the Grand Prize of 6000 points.

◘ To make things more competitive, the reward will decrease by 1000 points for every clue that we must give before the answer is found.

◘ If no one has found the answer by Friday, you will have the weekend to solve it, but the reward will only be worth 2000 points after Friday!

◘ If the mystery is still unsolved, the round will close on the following Friday.

To help you understand how it works here are 2 examples:

Example 1:
○ Clue 1: “Small ball of fur that likes cuddles”

A member answers “cat”

He found the answer to the mystery from the first clue. Therefore he will win 6000 points and a new round will start on the following Monday.

Example 2:
○ Clue 1: “Wakes you up at the morning.”

Nobody finds the answer

○ Clue 2: “Liquid, that loves to be dark”

Nobody finds the answer

○ Clue 3: “You can take it strong”

A member answers “Coffee“.

He wins 4000 points because he found on the 3rd clue.

If the answer is given on Friday, it will then only be worth 2000 points.

**Update: Starting from the week of 13th March, we will award 100 points to everyone who guesses the correct answer but is not the first to do so. Therefore, the first person to guess correctly will win the 2000-6000 points and everyone else who guesses correctly after that before the Topic closes will also get 100 points. Only one guess per comment will be counted as a valid answer and therefore eligible for points. Participants must comment on the Topic that is intended for their country (i.e. marked as “AU” or “NZ” in the title) in order for points to be awarded.**

*Contest open only to members in Australia and New Zealand. Each round will have one winner from Australia and one from New Zealand, and they will be conducted separately on the respective Toluna sites. Points will be credited to winners’ accounts within 7 days after the answer is found. Posts/answers must not contain any language or image that is obscene, insulting, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, untrue, misleading or invasive of someone else’s privacy. Toluna reserves the right to review all content, and withhold bonus points from any user violating the rules mentioned above. Violation of these rules, and/or the Toluna Member Code of Conduct may result in the closure of your Toluna account.
