A New Toluna is Coming!

Dear members,

We are pleased to announce that we are almost ready to unveil a newly redesigned website for you! We’ve redone the site from the ground up and made some great changes.

But before the site is launched we’d like to let you in on a few of the amazing new features coming your way on the brand new Toluna.com.  They might take some time getting used to, but in the long run we feel all of these exciting changes will benefit you and the community as a whole.

• First, we’d like to introduce the virtual gift application – Gifties – which will be available on Toluna.com.  This great program will provide you with a new way to send gifts to your friends and followers on either site (or even to yourself) and via email.  The cool thing is that some of the Gifties become real!  Yes, that means that if you’re selected you’ll get whatever ‘virtual’ gift you selected shipped straight to your door!

• We’ve improved the way you can follow and be followed on Toluna.com so that now when you start to follow someone they show up in your personalised stream – entitled ‘Recommended’. This improved feature compiles all of the content you really want to keep track of and puts it in one place on the dashboard. All the new content from people you follow can be found here along with your favourited polls and topics, as well as Quick Votes! We think this will make your browsing experience on Toluna.com more rewarding, allowing you to get right to the heart of your favourite opinions.

• We will be ending the social reward points program.   We know this big news may be disappointing to some of you but the system has not worked out as intended.  Instead of pushing people to express themselves with quality content and opinions it has had the opposite effect.  Of course, you will still get points for all of the sponsored polls you complete.
• Our new notifications system will help you find out right away when we have surveys ready to go that fit your profile (amongst many other things)! In the top right-hand corner of the Toluna dashboard they’ll pop up in a blue box and all you have to do to access the survey is click on the one that interests you the most.  This, along with our redesigned Survey Centre, should make finding compatible surveys a snap and increase your efficiency on the site!

• The all new and redesigned Survey Centre will offer you easier access to the surveys you’re looking for.  Combining Toluna Quick Surveys (many of which lead to surveys) and regular surveys, this page clearly displays the total available points and the breakdown for each survey listed.  Thanks to these changes we think you’ll find it easier than ever to participate and express your opinion.

We are really excited to show you the new site and we think you’re going to love it.  The new Toluna should increase your chances of finding survey success while improving the quality of your experience immensely.  Please let us know if you have any questions or comments as you discover the new site and get used to these new changes.  We look forward to explaining any items that need clarification and hope you enjoy these new tools as much as we already are!
