We wanted to post a blog concerning the crediting of points as we have seen an increase in the amount of emails and topics on this subject.  We understand how frustrating this is for you, our members, after you have given us your valuable time and effort.  We make every effort to credit surveys as quickly as possible and work hard with our clients and partners to make this happen.  We are sorry for any delays that may occur and we strive to limit these as much as possible.

Due to the complexities of different surveys and their lifespan (how long a survey stays active) there can be a large swath of wait times until you are awarded your points. Sometimes the delay is very short, within a few hours or days, other times this can take a few weeks or up to a month.  If you happen to take a survey within the first few days of it opening, you could (unfortunately) end up waiting six weeks or more for your points. This is why on all invites you receive we do tell you that points will be awarded within 4 weeks of the closing of a survey.

We don’t want you to become worried that points have been forgotten because they do not appear within a matter of days or weeks.  We will always do our best to provide prompt crediting of points wherever possible.

Here at Toluna, we find the values of Christmas to be special and have great traditions.

In Australia Christmas is never a white Christmas as it is celebrated in the first month of southern summer when the entire continent is parched by the blazing sun.

Christmas in Australia begin in late November and continue through the first week of January. Nativity plays and people singing carols start the holiday spirit off. On Christmas Eve, families attend ‘Carols by Candlelight’, a carol concert, where people from all across the city gather in huge numbers to sing and listen to joyful carols by the candlelight. It is believed that Christmas Eve celebrations in Australia are incomplete without this tradition.

‘Christmas bush’ and ‘Christmas bellflower’ take up a huge chunk of the festive decoration. But Australia also has other typical European decorations such as wreaths and a Christmas tree. In Australia they use a lot of summer scents & colourful decorations. In Australia they also have Kangaroo’s & Koala bears draped in Santa hats.

Christmas dinner in Australia is much like the Traditional UK Christmas Dinner. But as you all know Australia has a hot Christmas so meats like turkey & chicken can be served cold. With salads or roast vegetables. BBQ’s are also very popular in Australia; seafood is also popular to BBQ in Australia such as lobster or prawns. Other meats such as chicken breasts or steak are also a popular choice. A popular desert in Australia is pavlova this was introduced by Italian Australians.

On 5^th December 2011 we launched a new and exciting Christmas Game on our Facebook fanpage as well as Toluna.com! You have until 19^th December to enter.

We want our members to express their creativity in decorating their Christmas trees for a chance to win a Christmas prize from Toluna!

So what do you do?

Step one – Create a photo, picture or video of your Christmas tree once you and your family have decorated it. Have it be Traditional, funky, modern, however you like and upload it to our opinion topic on Toluna. To help you out examples and models are available in the Christmas at Toluna album on our Toluna Facebook fanpage and we’ll throw a few up down below just in case. Just make sure the Toluna logo is somewhere on your submission so it can be validated & officially entered in the contest.

Step two – Then quickly post your creation in a poll on Toluna.com. To create a poll click on the create a poll tab & do not forget to upload your image or video from your computer.

Step three – Finally, send us a message with the link to your poll on this opinion topic! Don’t forget that this information is essential for us to properly credit your submission. Any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!
